Leivur Mortensen, a 26-year-old Faroese national team player, is reportedly set to join HF Karlskrona next season, according to unconfirmed reports from Sportbladet and BLT Blekinge Läns Tidning. Mortensen, who currently plays for FIF Köpenhamn in the Danish second league, was a starter for the Faroe Islands at the European Championships in January. He is expected to replace Noah Martinsson, who is leaving HF Karlskrona after this season.
The deal is rumored to be a two-year contract, though this has not been officially confirmed. Mortensen will join his fellow Faroese national team player Trondur Mikkelsen at the club. HF Karlskrona is competing for a playoff spot ahead of its final match next Wednesday.
