During the pandemic, demand for leisure homes increased sharply, and in parts of Sörmland, there is still a large price increase for leisure homes. Fastighetsbyrån has compiled average prices for sales over one year, from March to February, with all municipalities reported having at least ten sales during that period. In Vingåker, prices over one year have increased by 31 percent, while in Eskilstuna, the price increase over one year is 12 percent.

6 million kronor, which is the lowest average price in Sörmland. Stefan Andersson's family has spent summers on their island in Mälaren, just outside Torshälla, since the 1950s, and he previously lived in Kvicksund. Stefan Andersson and his wife recently bought a house located one kilometer from the summer cottage, but he felt it was unnecessary to have two homes so close to each other.

It is mixed feelings, I have spent 62 years out here.
