The County Administrative Board (Länsstyrelsen) has halted detailed plans for a new hotel and expansion of the Flustret entertainment venue in Uppsala. According to Uppsala Nya Tidning, the municipality approved the detailed plan at the end of last year, but the county authority has now decided to revoke it. The building plans included a new hotel with restaurant and conference facilities next to the Svettis gymnastics hall, expansion of Flustret towards the City Garden, and demolition of existing structures.
