A classic Borås business is shutting down as Tommy Stenmark closes his student bookstore after more than three decades of operation. According to Borås Tidning, Stenmark's bookstore began when he started providing cheaper course literature to classmates, which eventually developed into his own bookstore. The store, located just a stone's throw from the university, has served generations of students with textbooks ranging from textile design and physics to books for new police officers and mathematicians.
Stenmark described interacting with customers as the best part of running the student bookstore for over thirty years, and what he will miss the most. The closure marks the end of an era for Borås students who have relied on the bookstore for their academic materials.
