A woman has been arrested and detained on suspicion of child rape in northeastern Skåne, according to Swedish authorities. The arrest was made at Hässleholm District Court on Friday, March 6, 2026. Prosecutor Marie-Louise Holmberg stated that the woman is suspected of repeatedly raping a child over approximately six months at various locations in Hässleholm and Osby municipalities.
'It involves repeated occasions,' Holmberg told reporters. The woman, who is reportedly in her late 20s or early 30s, has previously been convicted for sexual offenses against children. Three years ago, she received a conditional sentence and fines for sexual harassment of a child after sending sexually explicit messages to a boy under 15 in spring 2023.
