Kurt Russell disclosed the royal visit in an interview ahead of his appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show this Saturday. He explained that he first met Princess Diana at the royal premiere for the film Backdraft. 'I met Diana - it was the royal premiere for Backdraft,' Russell said.
He recalled, 'I was sitting in between her and Charles. ' According to Russell, Diana later brought Prince William and Prince Harry to stay at his home for a week. 'She [Diana] brought the two boys and they stayed there for a week and had a wonderful time,' he said.

Russell was not present during their stay, but noted that Diana wrote nice cards to him afterward. 'I wasn’t there, none of us were there at the time but she wrote some really nice cards and things like that,' he shared. Prince Harry has met Russell multiple times since and remembers it as a fun time.
' The exact year of the visit and the specific location of Russell's home remain unknown. Russell is currently promoting the new drama series The Madison, created by Taylor Sheridan, in which he portrays Preston Clyburn.
