A person has been found dead after a house fire in Strömsund municipality last week. The fire broke out late on Thursday evening in a village outside Hoting. When rescue services arrived at the scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames and could not be saved.
One person was missing after the fire. On Monday, technicians examined the fire site and found human remains. The remains have been sent to the National Board of Forensic Medicine for analysis and identification.
Relatives have been notified.
