Kristdemokraterna (KD) has confirmed it will not disclose the identity of an anonymous donor funding personal security arrangements for the party's European Parliament member Alice Teodorescu Måwe. According to reports from Flamman and Aftonbladet, the party's secretary Liza-Maria Norlin stated that revealing additional details about the security arrangement 'would counteract its purpose.'
Teodorescu Måwe, who is also a parliamentary candidate for the party, reportedly receives ongoing financial support from a private donor for her personal security. The arrangement was disclosed in her interest declaration to the European Parliament, which all members are required to submit. However, the declaration contains no information about the donor's identity or the amount involved.

In a Facebook post, Norlin confirmed that the party knows the donor's identity but will keep it secret. She also stated that Kristdemokraterna has verified through 'its own routines' that no conflict of interest exists and that the financial support arrangement has been approved by the European Parliament. Norlin further invited other potential donors to contribute to Teodorescu Måwe's security costs.
The controversy was first reported by Flamman last week and has since been picked up by several Swedish editorial pages and the English-language political site Politico. Teodorescu Måwe told Dagens Nyheter that she would not provide further details about the funding, stating 'since it concerns my security, I will not go into it further.'
