The concept has existed in Sweden since 1977. The exhibition is organized by Bygdegårdarnas Riksförbund, Riksföreningen Våra Gårdar, and Riksorganisationen Folkets Hus och Parker. Region Örebro län contributes artistic workshops in connection with the exhibition.
The vernissage on May 5 will feature poetry reading by Magdalena Eriksson, two-row accordion by Jan Anders Andersson, and birbyne playing by Thomas Lundqvist. The invocation speech at the vernissage will be given by Frank Tholfsson, chair of the regional culture committee. Tholfsson said, "It is incredibly important that professional art is also shown in the countryside and in smaller places in the county.
" A family day on May 9 will allow visitors to create with clay with artist Jenny Käll or try origami with Xing Liu. Both artists are also exhibitors in the main exhibition, according to Ulrika Stigbäck, development leader at Region Örebro län. " All exhibited works are for sale.
The specific artists beyond those mentioned have not been named, and the exact opening hours each day have not been announced. It is unclear if there is an entry fee or how many works are displayed in total.
