Italian driver Kimi Antonelli reportedly won his first Grand Prix in Shanghai. According to multiple Swedish news sources, including Sydsvenskan, the 19-year-old Mercedes driver started in pole position and maintained a lead throughout most of the race, finishing ahead of teammate George Russell. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were in third and fourth positions for much of the race, with their Ferraris nearly colliding at one point before Hamilton created distance.
Max Verstappen of Red Bull faced technical issues on the 46th lap, forcing him to pit after climbing to sixth place following a shaky start with tire problems.
