Karlstad school offers catch-up classes during holiday

Norrstrandsskolan in Karlstad is one of the schools in the region that remains open during the sports holiday, allowing students who struggle with core subjects to catch up on schoolwork or take tests. The school provides this opportunity for high school students. Henning Blomstrand Lundgren, a 9th-grade student, says it has only been mathematics, which he considers the worst subject.

Despite the challenge of studying during the holiday, smaller classrooms seem to create a more relaxed atmosphere between teachers and students. Melonie Jansson, a subject teacher in social studies and English, notes that it allows for more freedom, joking, and laughter, and helps teachers get to know students in a different way.
