The Swedish Justice Chancellor (Justitiekanslern) has reportedly closed a preliminary investigation into the pedophile hunter website Dumpen for alleged hate speech against a minority group, according to reports from Swedish media outlets. The investigation, which focused on hate speech against homosexuals, was initiated following a reader comment containing derogatory statements about gay people that had remained on the website for over a year. Sources indicate that Dumpen was informed about the offensive comment by the Justice Chancellor and given two weeks to remove it, with the threat that the investigation would proceed if action wasn't taken.
In response to this decision, Dumpen reportedly removed its entire comment section from the website. The investigation has now been formally closed, according to reports from the societal magazine Avsnitt cited by both Aftonbladet and Sydsvenskan.
