The building "Jungfrun" in Norrköping, Sweden, has won the Kasper Salin Prize, Sweden's foremost architecture prize, in 2026. The prize is awarded by Sveriges Arkitekter. Jungfrun was originally a grain warehouse and has been converted into offices.
The jury highlighted the connection between the historical and modern elements, describing it as a "beautiful harmony between fine-tuned and rough" and noting that it shows a path both here and now and into the future. The project was carried out by Marge, with Erik Hökby and Susanne Ramel as the responsible architects. The brick facade has been restored, and sealed doors and windows have been opened with newly manufactured arches based on documented patterns.
