Residents of Jönköping County have once again expressed the highest satisfaction with healthcare services in Sweden, according to the annual healthcare barometer survey presented on March 4, 2026. For the fifth consecutive year, the county has topped national rankings for healthcare trust and satisfaction. The survey, which captures public attitudes, expectations, and experiences of healthcare, is based on over 53,000 responses nationwide, including 1,187 randomly selected residents from Jönköping County.
According to the results, 92 percent of county residents believe they have access to the healthcare they need, with nine out of ten residents reporting satisfaction with healthcare accessibility. The county also leads in perceptions of healthcare equality, with residents reporting the highest confidence in hospitals for the fourth consecutive year. Region Jönköping County officials described the results as a clear signal of public trust in the healthcare system and recognition for healthcare workers throughout the region.
