In Järbo, plans are reportedly underway to build an artificial turf pitch as part of developments at the local sports ground. According to reports, the aim is to create more activity and a meeting place for young and old in the community. The project is being led by Järbo IF, with the secretary Peter Hillman stating that the idea is to bring more energy to the area.
Meanwhile, in Svensköp, a separate project involving a new seven-a-side football pitch is taking shape, with children, parents, and coaches reportedly working together over the weekend to create it. That project is said to be funded by generous local sponsors, costing the club nothing. Both initiatives focus on community involvement in sports infrastructure.
