Former Sweden national football team coach Janne Andersson has criticized the Swedish Football Association in his new book 'Då var då'. Andersson, who stepped down after seven years, 94 matches, and a World Cup quarterfinal, says the association did not listen to his experience when he left. He writes that after deciding to quit, there was complete silence from the SvFF, and he was not asked for his insights despite having faced 45 nations during his tenure.
Andersson also criticizes former chairman Fredrik Reinfeldt and new national team manager Kim Källström, noting that Reinfeldt has still not spoken with him and Källström did not want to discuss football or operations. He describes a farewell event with sausage and bread at the association's office in Solna, where a colleague mentioned Reinfeldt was present but declined the invitation, saying 'Sånt där håller vi inte på med'. In the book, Andersson also discusses his relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which improved over time.

He writes that after Ibrahimovic returned to the national team in spring 2021, he came to respect him as a person, describing him as professional and loyal. However, Andersson reveals that in his early years as coach, he had a difficult time with Ibrahimovic due to the player's comments and social media posts, which repeatedly forced him to answer questions about a potential comeback. Källström responded to SVT Sport, stating it is sad to hear how Andersson experienced his departure and that the SvFF knows what Andersson meant for the national team and Swedish football.
SVT Sport has sought comment from Reinfeldt.
