James May arrived at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court in South London on Thursday by bicycle to face an allegation that he failed to insure his classic car last July. The former Top Gear presenter, who was part of the show's lineup between 2003 and 2015, has long been associated with classic cars, a passion he often shared with co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond on the program. The outcome of his court case regarding the insurance allegation has not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, bosses have recently teased a new project involving May, Clarkson, and Hammond, though the specific nature of this project remains unclear. According to Daily Mirror - 3am Showbiz, Andy Wilman described it as natural and easy for the trio to work together again, suggesting they would slot in seamlessly. In October, May revealed there was a concept the group wanted to do that never came to fruition, and according to Daily Mirror - 3am Showbiz, he described never finding a good reason to travel to Southeast Asia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and surrounding areas.
Why not? I think it would be as natural as anything if it happened. It would absolutely be as natural as anything. It would be the easiest thing in the world. I think you would slot in amazingly easily, and you're all so aware of each other that you would acknowledge that you're back together again, that the time has moved on, that in the same way you knew how to say goodbye, you'd know how to say hello again.
Whether the trio will actually reunite for a new project, as hinted by Wilman and previous teases, is still uncertain.
I want to ask, do you think we will ever work together again? All of us, because I'm asked all the time.
The one bit we never really went to, and it's a part of the world I have never been to, is sort of everything between Southeast Asia and Australia. Malaysia, the Philippines and all that sort of whole strip of stuff. I've never been to any of that as far as I can remember, and I don't really know anything about it. We never came up with a good reason for going there, which is a shame really, because just about everywhere else we went.
