The Inspection for Care and Welfare, Ivo, has criticized Kramfors municipality for extensive shortcomings in handling matters concerning children and young people. The criticism follows an inspection of the municipality's operations. Ivo states that Kramfors municipality has failed in checks before placements of children and young people, the handling of concern reports, and the follow-up of placed children.
The municipality must now report to Ivo on how it will address the deficiencies. The municipality explains the shortcomings by citing high staff turnover, lack of continuity and leadership, and deficiencies in the competence and experience levels of social secretaries.
