ITV Daytime Shows Return After Cuts and Hiatus
Key Points
  • Loose Women returns April 27 with Christine Lampard anchoring and a panel including Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore, and Nadia Sawalha.
  • Lorraine returns May 4 with a reduced 30-minute runtime and Lorraine Kelly now presenting all episodes.
  • Good Morning Britain and This Morning continued airing during the hiatus, with schedule adjustments filling Loose Women's slot.

Loose Women will be the first to return to screens, transmitting once more from Monday, April 27. Christine Lampard will be in her customary position as anchor, with Coleen Nolan, former I'm A Celebrity... star Jane Moore, and ex-EastEnders actress Nadia Sawalha comprising the panel.

Lorraine Kelly's eponymous chat programme will be back a week later on Monday, May 4, but has been reduced to merely 30 minutes' running time. Following the cuts, Lorraine now presents all five programmes, whereas she previously shared presenting responsibilities with numerous others, including Loose Women star Christine Lampard, as well as Ranvir Singh, who used to assume control on a regular basis. Other personalities like BBC Breakfast's Louise Minchin and X Factor star Rylan Clark have provided cover on Lorraine's programme in the past.

Not really. I mean, it's kind of indicative of the whole industry, really. I'm just glad that we're still there. We've still managed to save some jobs. A lot of my team are going to This Morning. And so yeah, it's not my decision. It wasn't a decision that I made.

Good Morning Britain was previously extended by 30 minutes after Lorraine's programme was reduced. Since early March, Good Morning Britain and This Morning have continued as usual, while at 12:30pm, ITV News is broadcast and then game show repeats fill the remainder of the slot typically occupied by Loose Women. According to Daily Express - Showbiz, Lorraine Kelly described the changes as indicative of the whole industry, expressing gratitude for still being able to do what she loves and noting that many of her team are moving to This Morning.

She also mentioned that regular guests like Dr. Hilary and Jamie Oliver will still be part of the show. The exact number of weeks Lorraine and Loose Women will air in the upcoming season has not been confirmed, and ITV has not provided an official comment regarding the return of these programmes.

I just feel lucky to still be doing what I love to do. I mean, what's not to love? There we are this morning. Brian Cox is a massive hero of me. Both Brian Coxes, the actor and the astrophysicist, both of the heroes of mine. You know, getting to talk to people like that is is is a privilege, really.

You know, getting to watch Jamie Oliver cook something and then eat it is fantastic. And you know, and and you know, next year all my all our regulars will still be there, Dr. Hilary and Doctor Amir and Mark Hayes and Ross King, all the usual people that we've known.

So I'm just glad that we're still going to be there. It'll be different. But you know what? I've been through many a regime change. So it's just another one. Just another one. It's fine. We'll
