Italian cyclist Debora Silvestri, 27, was involved in a serious crash during the women's Milano-San Remo one-day race in Italy. She reportedly fell several meters, landed on asphalt, and lay motionless before being taken to a hospital. According to unconfirmed reports, she was knocked unconscious but later regained consciousness.
The crash occurred in a downhill section with over two miles left in the race, after several other cyclists had collided. Silvestri reportedly flew off her bike over a guardrail and landed on a road below. Lotte Kopecky from Belgium won the race.
