Isak Rosén has been traded to the Winnipeg Jets by the Buffalo Sabres. The trade occurred during the NHL trade deadline. In exchange, the Sabres received Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn, and Jacob Bryson also moved to Buffalo.

The Jets also reportedly received a second-round draft pick in 2027 and a fourth-round pick in 2026, according to hockey insider Darren Dreger. Rosén, a 22-year-old forward, was drafted 14th overall in the first round of the 2021 NHL draft. This season, he has recorded 7 points, including 3 goals and 4 assists, in 16 NHL games.

In the AHL, he has 43 points in 38 games this year. The Sabres had hoped to trade for defenseman Colton Parayko from the St. Louis Blues, but Parayko reportedly refused to waive his no-movement clause for a move to Buffalo.

After a recent 5-1 win in Pittsburgh, the Sabres are competing with the Tampa Bay Lightning for first place in the Atlantic division. The Sabres have missed the NHL playoffs for the past 14 years.
