Persen achieved two third-place finishes in the final race of the season in Storklinten, Sweden, according to official sources. He won silver overall behind Swedish Emil Pettersson, despite only participating in 10 of the 14 rounds. Team Persen said: 'Despite the fact that he could not participate in more than 10 of the Swedish Championship's 14 rounds, he took silver overall behind Swedish Emil Pettersson.' Persen also became European champion and Norwegian champion in snowmobile cross this season, official sources confirmed.

His younger sister, Adine Persen, finished third overall in the Pro Woman class, according to official sources. She placed fifth in the final race in Storklinten.

In other news, 55 out of 80 municipalities in Northern Norway had no building permits in the first quarter, according to Kunnskapsbanken.
