  • Celebrates 30th anniversary of Pokémon
  • Available in Finland and Japan from May 1

The Origo series, designed by Alfredo Häberli, was launched in Finland in 1999. Iittala said the new collection is aimed at 'kidults' — the generation that grew up with both Iittala and Pokémon in the late 1990s. The range includes mugs, plates, and bowls, with recommended prices of 30 euros for a mug or bowl and 35 euros for a plate.

Pikachu is the central character. 'At first glance, Iittala and Pokémon may seem an unlikely combination — two worlds that apparently don’t meet. It was precisely this subtle contradiction that fascinated us,' said Janni Vepsäläinen, creative director at Iittala.

The products are sold in selected Iittala stores and online shops in Finland and Japan. It is unclear whether the collection will be available in other countries.
