Anna-Lena Isaksson has left her role as chairman of the Swedish hockey club HV71. She reportedly informed the club that she will not be re-elected at the upcoming annual meeting. Another board member, Jonas Askerlund, has also left his position.
Vice chairman Stefan Axelsson will temporarily lead the club's work. Isaksson had been chairman for two years. The club recently avoided relegation from the SHL by winning a playoff series against Leksand.
According to reports, some in the organization have called for changes to reverse a negative trend. A plan for selecting a new chairman and board member will be developed in consultation with the nomination committee.
