HP Burman, originally from Kristianstad, came into contact with Jämtland musicians in the early 1970s when he began studying in Uppsala and joined Norrlands nation. This connection laid the groundwork for his musical collaborations in the region. In 1976, HP Burman and his Jämtland friends formed the rock band Hardda Ku Hardda Geit, which had an exclusively Jämtland repertoire.
Over the years, the band became one of the groups that performed most often at Storsjöyran. Bengt 'Buddha' Eriksson, one of the organizers of Storsjöyran, describes HP Burman as a unique person and musician. According to SVT Jämtlandsnytt, Bengt 'Buddha' Eriksson emphasized Burman's lasting influence as a positive force in society.
In a society that only becomes harder and harder, it is still a light in the darkness that a person like HP actually has existed.
