Candice Matthews said the video caused discord between the community and law enforcement, and between Hispanics and African Americans. Bishop James Dixon, president of the Houston NAACP, described the video as depicting a 'sick mindset' and said Gonzalez undermined her credibility with racist ideology. The Houston Police Officers' Union said it was 'extremely disturbed' by the video and does not condone racist behavior.
