Troms accounted for 65% of all housing construction in the region, while Nordland's housing starts fell sharply from 135 to 42 units. In Finnmark, construction was limited: only three of 18 municipalities granted start permits, totaling 48 housing units. Alta alone accounted for 37 of those units, or 77% of Finnmark's permits. Vadsø granted permits for 10 units and Loppa for one unit.
Separately, sales of allergy medications in Norwegian pharmacies have increased by 10% in defined daily doses over the past two years, according to Apotekforeningen. From last year to this year, use rose by nearly 5%. Hanne Andersen, professional director at Apotekforeningen, said allergies are a persistent health problem for many, and the stable increase indicates more people need treatment to function normally.
