Parents of students at Solbergaskolan in Visby were informed on Wednesday about a threat of school shooting that was written on one of the school's toilets. According to SVT Nyheter, derogatory comments were found along with the word 'school shooting' and a date later in March.

The school administration is taking the incident seriously and has reported it to police. 'We have cameras outside the school, but we are now also working to get cameras installed inside the school,' Rudstedt said.

The school has approximately 700 students and has previously conducted lockdown drills as part of its security measures. Similar incidents have occurred at other schools in Sweden, including in Finspång, with inspiration appearing to come from social media.
