A horse at Hippologum in Umeå, Sweden, has tested positive for EHV5 and Zooepidemicus. The Umeå equestrian association discovered the horse was sniffling and immediately placed it in isolation. The facility is now closed to outsiders, and the association is separating stalls and requiring clothing changes and handwashing between stalls to reduce infection spread.
People with horses at the facility are urged to monitor their horses for symptoms.
