Alva Lohne Pahle at Blindern upper secondary school in Oslo is a finalist with 'From News to Narrative: How Media Shapes Our Understanding of Terror', examining media coverage of two terror attacks in Norway: Philip Manshaus's attack on a mosque in Bærum in 2019 and the 2022 mass shooting in Oslo by Zaniar Matapour. Abdikarim Fuaad Ali, Elnathan Shegaw Anagaw, and Wakman Konarai at Drammen upper secondary school in Buskerud are finalists with 'It costs nothing. That's why it's expensive', investigating the consequences of students' use of artificial intelligence on learning and self-efficacy.

The winners will be announced on June 3 by Minister of Education Kari Nessa Nordtun, with prizes of 30,000, 20,000, and 10,000 Norwegian kroner. The award ceremony will take place at Bergen Cathedral School, Ludvig Holberg's old school. Åsta Dyrnes Nordø, chair of the professional jury, said: "The students impress me with their many creative approaches to the topics that interest them."
