Fredrik Walderyd (M), chairman of the building and environment committee in Höganäs, has reportedly resigned from the municipal planning committee. According to Helsingborgs Dagblad, this move comes after it was determined that holding both positions simultaneously violates municipal law. The arrangement, which had been in place for ten years, was found to be incompatible with legal requirements.
In preparation for the autumn elections, the municipal council has appointed a parliamentary group to review the political organization and analyze how it has functioned. This work is being led by council chairman Péter Kovács (M), with all parties in the council represented. The developments highlight ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with municipal regulations ahead of upcoming local elections.
