A 30-year-old man from Hofors has been convicted for multiple fraud offenses related to luxury car purchases, according to Swedish media reports. 4 million kronor in autumn 2021. Initially making payments, he later stopped and allegedly filed false theft reports in an attempt to collect insurance money.
The case, which also involves fraudulent student aid claims according to reports, was brought to court last autumn. Both Arbetarbladet and Gefle Dagblad report that the man is now facing conviction for the series of frauds and benefit offenses connected to the car transactions and study grants.
