Meteorologist Per Egil Haga confirmed that conditions were favorable for snow in the mountains. According to NRK Vestfold og Telemark, Haga described low temperatures at altitude combined with precipitation from a low-pressure system as the cause. He noted that snow amounts vary greatly locally, and while 25 centimeters is significant, some areas may see more or less.
Milder weather is expected in the coming days, and the snowfall is not expected to continue.
