UK-registered pharmacist Amir Singh rated six hay fever 'tricks' on his TikTok page @amirthepharmacist. He gave a saline nasal rinse a '10 out of 10' for combating symptoms, explaining that it clears out pollen, dust and other allergens from the nasal passage, reducing inflammation and thinning mucus. Singh cautioned against applying Vaseline around the nose if you smoke, as it could cause the nose to catch fire.

He also advised that expensive antihistamines are no more effective than cheaper alternatives, stating: 'They'll work. Don't pay for expensive allergy tablets. ' Common symptoms of hay fever include persistent sneezing, blocked nose, itchy or watery eyes, and fatigue.
