  • Defamation lawsuit against Fotboll Sthlm remains active

Hasan Cetinkaya sued Expressen for gross defamation after an investigation of the agency HCM. According to Expressen, Klas Granström, the editor-in-chief and responsible publisher, described the withdrawal as a wise decision. Expressen published an investigation of HCM together with Fotboll Sthlm two years ago in April 2024.

The main hearing was scheduled for this autumn in Stockholm District Court, but it was initially set earlier this year and postponed because Viktor Gyökeres, who was called as a witness, could not get away from playing at Arsenal. According to Fotbollskanalen, the interrogation with Gyökeres was scheduled for the fifth of June this summer. The defamation lawsuit against Fotboll Sthlm is still active, according to Fotbollskanalen.

A wise decision.
