Hardy Häman Aktell has reportedly been asked to leave Swiss club Bern, according to unconfirmed reports. The reports, citing the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, indicate this despite his contract extending through next season. Häman Aktell, a defenseman who previously played for Växjö Lakers in Sweden and had stints in the AHL and NHL with the Washington Capitals organization, joined Bern last season.
He recorded seven goals and 14 assists in 37 games in his first full season with the club. The club has reportedly declined to comment on the claims. The reports also suggest that Joel Vermin and Ramon Untersander have been asked to find new clubs.
This could lead to Häman Aktell potentially returning to play in Sweden, with former teams Växjö and Skellefteå possibly interested.
