Emily Osment explained her absence in a video shared to Instagram on Monday, stating she was unable to participate due to filming commitments for her CBS series 'Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage', in which she plays Mandy McAllister. According to Osment, she was not able to be part of the reunion because she was shooting her show. Meanwhile, Mitchel Musso shared a post in honor of Hannah Montana on Instagram.
The special's release comes as 'Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage', a direct sequel to 'Young Sheldon' in The Big Bang Theory franchise, continues production. It remains unclear why Musso was absent from the reunion, whether other original cast members were missing, what the full content of the special includes, how fans and critics have officially reviewed it, and if there are plans for future reunions or projects involving the original cast.
We are at the Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage set, and that’s why I was not able to be a part of the 20-year reunion, because we are here shooting our show.

Hannah Montana changed my life, it gave me a lifelong respect for this medium of comedy, it taught me discipline, patience, timing and respect working in an adult space so young.
