In the season's final mass start at Holmenkollen, the race appeared set to be decided between Elvira Öberg and Hanna Öberg. Both sisters shot clean in three of four shooting stages and were leading before the final shooting. There, Elvira Öberg missed two shots and Hanna Öberg missed one, costing them chances for victory.
Italian Lisa Vittozzi then overtook Hanna Öberg to win, with Hanna Öberg finishing second. Elvira Öberg placed fourth.
