Hammarö municipality in Sweden has withdrawn layoffs of preschool staff and announced that negotiations need to be redone. In February, it became clear that 16 people in preschools in Hammarö were laid off. It has now emerged that the order of priority regarding layoffs of childcare workers and unqualified staff in preschools cannot be handled separately.
Therefore, the layoffs are now being lifted and new negotiations are starting. Lars Rogemyr, an HR expert, stated in a press release that it is unfortunate that they have ended up in this situation and need to redo the negotiations, emphasizing the importance of doing things correctly and taking responsibility.
