The municipality is displaying the blue and yellow flag outside the town hall to commemorate the 1,461 days of war since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

The municipality stated it is thinking of residents in its twin city Nikopol, Ukraine. Simultaneously, flags are being raised at the town hall and Slottsbron to honor Swedish Finnish Minority Day. According to the municipality, Swedish Finns constitute the largest of five national minority groups in Sweden, with approximately 700,000 residents having Finnish background and over 250,000 of them speaking Finnish.
