In Halmstad, the community building committee has approved a plan for a development in Västra förstaden. According to Halmstads kommun Nyheter, the plan involves creating a mixed urban development with around 300 new homes, offices, and other facilities along Bohusgatan. The project aims to connect to the existing block structure in Västra förstaden.
The planning is reportedly influenced by ongoing work on a new bridge over Nissan at Söder, requiring further study of traffic conditions and road connections. The affected properties are Bulten 4, Basen 2, and Basen 5-8. Separately, Barometern-OT reports that in Svalliden, seven property owners will have the opportunity to purchase the entire area they use as plots, following a decision to change the detailed plan to allow ownership up to the street, where the municipality currently owns a strip of land designated as public parkland.
