In specific service areas, the NKI for alcohol serving permits is 88, classified as 'very high', placing Halmstad fifth in its municipality group. The NKI for building permit processing is 63, classified as 'acceptable', an increase of three units from the previous measurement. The NKI for environmental and food areas are 75 and 76 respectively, both classified as 'high'. The building permit processing had a low NKI of 50 in 2022, after which intensive work began to improve accessibility and service.
