Students in Hällefors are actively participating in the design of a new community park that will serve as a central meeting place in the town. According to reports from SVT Örebro, students from Klockarhagsskolan and Pihlskolan are providing input through questionnaires and student council meetings about the park planned adjacent to their schools.
Park manager Linnea Hansen stated that the municipality is creating a new meeting place with seating areas, trees, flower beds, and a stage. "We want the stage to be usable for events and also be a place where people can just sit and be," she said. The first stage of park construction is planned to begin in autumn 2026.

The park will be divided into two areas, one near each school, featuring different types of activity spaces and places to wait, hang out, and meet before and after school. Project leader Frida Nilsson emphasized the importance of student involvement: "We have invited students to dialogue and hope to get as many opinions as possible."
Marie Karlsson, principal at Klockarhagsskolan, noted that the process serves as democratic training: "All students should have their say. It's also a way to practice a democratic process." The activity-focused part of the park is planned to be built during 2027, with the goal of creating a space used both during school hours and in leisure time by children and youth in Hällefors.
