Hagaskolan in Alvesta was forced to evacuate over 300 students and approximately 60 staff members on Thursday after a fire broke out in a wastepaper basket in one of the school's toilets. This marked the third consecutive day of fire incidents in the school's restrooms, though Thursday's incident was the most serious.
According to reports, the fire alarm sounded shortly after 1 PM on Thursday, prompting the full evacuation of the building. School staff managed to extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported among students or staff.
