Gustav Stjernberg has reportedly signed a two-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche. The 23-year-old defenseman made his SHL debut with Örebro during the 2021/22 season. He played junior hockey for Örebro for four years before moving to the USHL and then playing NCAA hockey for Bowling Green State University, where he served as an assistant captain this season.
According to reports, he has recorded 10 points in 25 games this season. The Colorado Avalanche currently lead the NHL standings with 97 points.
