The attack was caught on video by her doorbell camera on Monday, occurring in the front yard of her home. A young woman in a bright pink hoodie carried out the majority of the assault. The Scott family has noted that a vacant space nextdoor to their property has become a problem because dog owners let their pets defecate there and don't clean up after them.
Linda Scott was taken to hospital after the attack, where she suffered bleeding from her nose and mouth and bruising to her face. She is expected to make a full recovery. Her son Michael Scott rushed to her aid when he heard the commotion.
The attacker was still at large as of Friday April 10.
