Ungas Salong is an exhibition where young artists get to take place, and it is a unique collaboration between Stadsbiblioteket Göteborg and four of the city's culture houses. The exhibition will be shown from June 16 to July 12 in the exhibition hall at Stadsbiblioteket Göteborg, with a festive vernissage for selected artists on Tuesday, June 16. Young artists aged 16 to 30 living in the Västra Götaland region can apply from March 30 to May 3 with one or two works in any art form, such as painting, photography, illustration, textile, sculpture, or digital art.
A jury selects which works will be included in the exhibition, and applicants will be notified during week 22. Emma Corkhill, the art producer at Kulturhuset Blå Stället, is the coordinator for Ungas Salong. The exhibition is a co-arrangement between Stadsbiblioteket Göteborg, Frölunda Kulturhus, Kulturhuset Bergsjön, Kulturhuset Blå Stället, and Kulturhuset Kåken with support from Kultur Ungdom.
Details such as the exact number of selected artists, the jury's specific criteria, expected visitor numbers, and whether prizes are awarded remain unknown.
