Google Maps Unveils Immersive Navigation, Biggest Update in Over a Decade

Google has introduced major updates to its Maps application, with the most significant change being Immersive Navigation, described as the biggest overhaul of the navigation experience in over ten years. The new feature displays routes on a 3D map that includes roads, buildings, landmarks, and terrain to provide users with better overview. Based on satellite and Street View images, the map offers a wider view of the route, making it easier to see what lies ahead, and allows zooming in on buildings.
