The company now has almost 70 employees and maintains a strong foothold in Luleå. GLB continues to develop through its projects and its responsibility for employees and the local community.

Olofsson added, 'The construction industry is often known for layoffs in winter and rehiring in spring. We don't work like that. ' The company was started in 1995 by Gerhard and Leif (GL in GLB) after a bankruptcy at a previous employer.

Site manager Ronny Larsson recalled, 'When I started in 1998, we were three craftsmen. Then new owners took over in 2001 and we grew to 15–20 people. ' A generational shift is underway where some of the partners are heading towards retirement and some new ones are stepping in.
