  • The injury highlights risks in physical competition shows and impacts the series.
  • Recovery timeline and Bionic's return to future episodes remain uncertain.

According to Aftonbladet, the popular BBC programme, which returned in 2024 and is presented by father-and-son pair Bradley and Barney Walsh, was broadcasting in its regular time slot when footage showed medics rushing to attend to Bionic, who hurt his arm during Hang Tough following a tackle with contestant Finn. The 30-year-old athlete, whose real name is Matty Campbell, was clearly in discomfort. He remained on his back whilst receiving treatment and eventually got back on his feet, acknowledging the camera as he departed.

After the dramatic incident, Finn told Bradley and Barney, 'It's nice to get the 10 points, but what isn't nice is to see an athlete go out like that. At the end of the day, he's just got to recover. ' The recording took place at Sheffield Arena in 2023.

It is unknown how long Bionic's recovery will take or if he will miss future episodes.
